Jewel Ornament of Liberation Study Group

Drong Ngur Jangchubling is happy to announce an upcoming book study series on the Jewel Ornament of Liberation by Gampopa starting this Sunday Sept 11, 2016.

The Jewel Ornament of Liberation is a seminal text in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and especially revered in the Drikung Kagyu lineage. Jewel Ornament is a lamrim text, which describes and outlines the stages of the path to enlightenment. It is an essential compendium for practitioners of all levels, and will bring benefit to whatever you currently practice.

The book study will be held each Sunday at our center in Wesley Chapel. Sessions will take place from 2:00pm-3:30pm. We will review a chapter each week until we complete the text. Please note that this is a sangha-led discussion group, so a lama will not be present for our sessions, and study will be facilitated by participating sangha members.

We will study Gampopa’s Jewel Ornament of Liberation: The Wishfulfilling Gem of the Noble Teachings translated by Khenpo Konchog Gyaltsen Rinpoche, and we highly recommend you bring your own copy of the text.

If you are interested in attending the study group, please respond to our email drongngur@gmail.com.

A suggested donation of $10 is asked to support the Center. Copies of the text are available at the Center bookstore, and you can also find them on Amazon.
