Dear Dharma Friends,

Drong Ngur Jangchubling is delighted to announce the upcoming Mani Drupchen RetreatSaturday, November 12th – Friday, November 18th! The Mani Drupchen Retreat will begin with a 1000-Arm Chenrezig Empowerment, given by Drupon Thinley Ningpo Rinpoche on Saturday, November 12th @ 10am. During the Drupchen, Drupon Thinley Ningpo Rinpoche will be joined by Drupon Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche, Konchok Tsultrim, and Virginia Blum.

This is a very special event you will not want to miss! The Mani Drupchen will be the first major retreat event held in the Dharmachakra Meditation Hall. It will also be the first time the Drong Ngur sangha will have the great blessing and opportunity to participate in creating mani pills.

Directly following the Mani Drupchen on Saturday, November 19th & Sunday, November 20th, Drupon Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche will give a rare teaching on the Introduction to Mahamudra, The Coemergent Unification by Jigten Sumgon. More details on the Mahamudra event are forthcoming in a future announcement.
It is said that all the teachings of the Buddha are contained within the mani mantra (Om Mani Padme Hung Hri). It carries the power to purify our mind’s confusion and develop genuine love and compassion. H.E. Garchen Rinpoche has spoken many times on the benefits of this practice and teaches that one successful mantra retreat is equivalent to seven years of personal retreat in the magnitude of blessing accumulated. Drong Ngur is very fortunate to have the opportunity to host this special event again this year.
