The Dhammapada Teaching Series

Drong Ngur Jangchubling and Drupon Thinley Ningpo Rinpoche are delighted to announce our weekly teaching series on The Dhammapada, beginning Sunday, August 1st from 11am – 1pm EDT! The teaching series will be hosted at our center in Wesley Chapel and simultaneously live-streamed on Facebook Live and Zoom.

Drupon Rinpoche will teach from a version of The Dhammapada, translated into Tibetan from the Pali by the Tibetan poet and scholar, Gedun Choephel. Copies of this text are available at the Drong Ngur Dharma Store. Please contact us or visit the center for a copy!

The Dhammapada is a collection of teachings given by Buddha Shakyamuni at different times and places throughout his life. The text uses concise and lyrical language, and inspiring metaphors, to teach on universal Buddhist principles. It has been compiled from various sources and is a collection of 423 verses organized around 26 themes. The Dhammapada is loved and revered around the world and appeals to Buddhist practitioners and people from all walks of life.

During the teaching series, Drupon Rinpoche will guide the sangha through the verses of the text and provide an in-depth commentary on this collection of Buddha Shakyamuni’s teachings. Please join us for any or all of the sessions every Sunday @ 11am EDT.
