|“Whenever we’re beginning something fresh, such as the first day of the new year like today, there is a great opportunity to set the momentum going in a positive direction, to really start off on a positive foot. If we begin a new situation with a pure intention, pure aspirations, and good attitude, that energy is carried out throughout the entire duration. Therefore, it’s really wonderful that we’re beginning this first day of the new year with an intensive day of practice and generating a pure intention of bodhicitta for the benefit of all. This is really wonderful that we have the opportunity to spend the day this way. It is the result of our merit and it creates the conditions for building on that merit. It is wonderful if we can hold heartfelt pure aspirations in our mind today, if we can generate strong prayers and intentions. If we can feel happy and relaxed and at peace that sets the stage for the karmic imprint for the year. This is a wonderful day to have the event and we can rejoice at this wonderful occasion.”|
