Amitabha Retreat

with Karma Ratna Rinpoche

We are delighted to invite you to a profound and transformative retreat opportunity at Drong Ngur Jangchubling. This special event will feature the esteemed Karma Ratna Rinpoche, who will bestow Nuden Dorje's “Ruby Garland” empowerment, transmission, teachings, and practice.

This is a rare opportunity to receive one of the most profound Amitabha cycles within the Drikung Kagyu lineage. Received as a pure vision by the great 19th century treasure revealer Lho Nuden Dorje, this practice allows one to swiftly reach the Pure Land of Great Bliss at death. This cycle contains unique activity practices to benefit others at the time of death or in the Bardo.

Lho Ratna Rinpoche is the quality emanation of Lho Nuden Dorje. To receive this directly from Rinpoche is a rare opportunity containing the greatest of blessings.

About the Retreat

This Amitabha cycle is concise and easy to practice. Over the course of three days, participants will receive empowerment, transmission, and teachings from Karma Ratna Rinpoche, based on “The Ruby Garland” Cycle of Nuden Dorje and will have the opportunity to engage in the practice together. This retreat is designed to deepen your understanding and practice of the Dharma, offering a path to spiritual awakening and inner peace.

Transmissions for the complete Ruby Garland cycle will be given:

“The Ruby Garland: A Means for Accomplishing the Mandala of the Transcendent and Victorious Lord Amitabha” “Swift Accomplishment of the Rainbow Body Within One Week: The Indispensable Practice of Consciousness–Transference” “The Heart–Essence of Enlightened Activity: A Torma Practice for the Protectors of the Teachings of The Ruby Garland” “The Stairway to Liberation in the Realm of Great Bliss: Funerary Rites Following The Ruby Garland, Mandala Ritual of the Transcendent and Victorious Lord Amitabha” “Self–Liberation from Evil Destinies: A Prayer to be Reborn in the Bliss–Endowed Realm”

The Importance of Amitabha

Amitabha, also known as the Buddha of Infinite Light, holds a central place in Tibetan Buddhism, particularly in the context of death and dying. Amitabha is revered for his boundless compassion and his Pure Land, Sukhavati, where beings can be reborn and attain enlightenment. The practice of Amitabha is believed to benefit those who have died by guiding them to the Pure Land, where they can continue their spiritual journey free from suffering. Through the Amitabha practice, we can cultivate a connection with Amitabha's enlightened qualities and generate the aspiration to attain rebirth in Sukhavati, ensuring a peaceful transition at the time of death.
